Very nice mountain pasture with a great view in a sunny location. Hearty and typical Bavarian food. We were up on our bikes and then went back down to Waldkirchen through the forest. A great descent after the steep ascent.

You can go there, but you should allow some time. Loin was more like minute steak, but tasty overall. Portion quite small. Fantastic view!

POSITIVE: Great location with a wide view NEGATIVE: my experience of a visit- Already at 6 there was no more food from the menu. Food was lukewarm. The drink ordered was not brought and the innkeeper was to blame.

Even in this very difficult Corona time, the staff was very friendly! The menu was tempting and the food good. It is very beautiful there with a wonderful view of the valley.

Great view!! Stay and food cannot be rated. Hungry and thirsty, we were expelled from the field. Despite free places. We last saw this over 30 years ago in the GDR.

At the start of the holiday, we were looking forward to a nice dinner with a great view. Unfortunately, we were not welcome ("... we are reserved ...") and would be sent back to the valley without drinks if the temperature was very warm, despite 4 free tables. This happened to us as born GDR citizens over 30 years ago ...

We celebrated our wedding in the Sonnenalm! Juliane & her team gave EVERYTHING and really made EVERYTHING possible for us! I can therefore only recommend the Sonnenalm 100%. The ambience, the decoration, the service, the food, it was sensationally good! Thanks a lot for this!

We were eating with the family upstairs today, the view and ambience as always very good, the innkeepers very nice, but you should reconsider the preparation of the dishes. Again not eaten well upstairs, the food is rather canteen level. The small portion and the salad was not worth mentioning and without taste! Of course I didn't have to pay anything for the food because of my complaint, but the evening was gone. Also the second chance to get the dessert went wrong, the apple strudel was underground. That also works better in every fast food restaurant in the ski area. I have stayed several times above, but I highly recommend the breakfast. There is an urgent need to catch up with the cook and in the kitchen! Here, aspiration and reality go far apart.

Fantastic panoramic view. Plenty of space for alfresco dining with views of Hauzenberg and Staffelberg. Food was delicious, staff friendly.
